Cleaning & Access Statement for our houses in Taverner Close and Colborne Close
Cleaning: – Both properties are thoroughly cleaned between guests and the cleaning schedule has been updated to take into account the risk of Covid-19.
A risk assessment has been completed for Covid-19 which can be seen by clicking below. Our cleaning checklist has also been updated in accordance with government guidelines to make our homes safe from Covid-19.
Access: Our self-catering house occupies both the ground floor and 1st floor. We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement, if you have any queries please do call. We look forward to welcoming you.

The nearest bus stop is 100 metres from the entrance. Buses go from here into Poole town centre (only one stop away so you can walk it) and stops at the main bus terminal. See link below for further details of buses routes and timetables: https://www.morebus.co.uk/
The nearest train station (Poole) is 0.5 miles away; there are taxis at the station.
Tesco and Asda deliver groceries and can be ordered on the Internet. Sainsbury and Aldi are withing walking distance.

Arrival, Car Parking Facilities and access to the house
There is allocated parking at the back of the house in the private court yard and several guest parking spaces at the front of the house (20 metres from the front door). The parking in the courtyard is little tight near the posts and there is one step up of 20cm to the house level, the back door then as a frame about 10cm high to step over. The back door has an opening of 75cm. If you need plenty of room getting out of your car, then it may be preferable to park at the front where there is always spare guests spaces.
There is allocated parking in space 30 in Colborne Close. There is also 3 visitors spaces in Colborne Close, (unmarked with any numbers).
Colborne Close was previously occupied by a person with some disability and has some additional handles and rails plus a shower cubicle rather than a bath.
Colborne Close has a small porch (129cm by 115cm) to the front door opening inwards with handles either side of the front door. There s a small step up to the front door. The entrance at the front of the house has 1 step 12cm and the door frame is 8cm high to step over– The door opening is 75cm wide.

Doors open inwards to a short corridor that then opens into the main open plan lounge and dining area.
The ground floor of both houses is all flat with laminate flooring and consists of the Lounge, Dining area and Kitchen.
Fire alarms are located downstairs and upstairs.
The Dining table in Taverner Close is round with a glass top. Chairs are lightweight with no arms.
The dining table in Colborne Close is rectangular and is wood effect.
In Taverner Close there two two-seater leather sofas; in Colborne Close there is a two seater leather sofa and a three seater leather sofa.
HD Digital Freeview, LCD Flat screen HD TV provided with remote control (also available are DVD)
The bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs with short pile carpets.
The width of the stairs is 80cm. Colborne Close has hand rails both sides of the stairs.
There is no separate laundry room but there is a standard size washer machine, which is front loading in the kitchen.
Door width opening 70cm
Double bed in one room – 4ft 6 inches bed and two 3ft singles in the other room.
Bed height 50cm floor to top of mattress.
Non Feather duvets and pillows provided.
Sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases are cotton
Largest transfer space available to left or right of bed is 75cm
Bed is movable if more space is required to one side which provides another 75cm.

Door width opening 68cm

Taverner Close has a Bath height is 56 cm.
Colborne Close has a shower cubicle
Free space in bathroom (free of doors and furniture) is 1.4 meters
Toilet seat height 43cm (Colborne Close has a handle in front of seat.
Space to right of toilet is 80cm in Taverner and 30cm to the right in Colborne Close, no available space to the left.
Flooring is lino
In Taverner Close there is a Vanity unit under washbasin no pipes or anything
Kitchen open plan with
Worktop height 90cm.
Oven door in Taverner Close is opening right to left and height of lowest shelf 20cm high; in Colborne Close the door opens downwards and the lowest shelf is 30cm high.
Sink is 90cm high with cupboards underneath
Cooker hob is 90cm high and halogen in Taverner and Gas hob in Colborne Close.
Flooring is wood laminate
At least 90cm free space between all furniture and worktops in Taverner and 120cm in Colborne.
Evenly lit kitchen with no spotlights
Good contrast between floor, cupboards and other surfaces
Separate Fridge and freezer available stored below worktop in Taverner and a combined fridge freezer in Colborne Close.
Conservatory in Colborne
A small conservatory wit small round table and 4 chairs. Although room is tight, table and chairs are very light and can e put outside to provide more space. Door from lounge area to conservatory is 80cm wide. Drop to outside courtyard is 65cm with 2 small steps down.
In Taverner there is a small courtyard with sitting area and step down 25cm to wider area which is the official parking area.
In Colborne Close there is a very small court yard all one level.
Sainsbury is a 10 minute walk. The main town centre is a 10 minute walk.
An Information folder is located in the house produced in size 12 font (can be printed in larger font by request)
Good mobile phone reception
Evacuation of house is by front or back do to enclosed courtyard.
The flat is no smoking, Pets although service dogs are welcome – please inform us on booking

Disabled Parking Facilities
To aid disabled drivers in Poole there is a Shopmobility Centre within the Dolphin Shopping Centre Car Park. An undercover car park in Serpentine Lane is also available specifically for Blue Badge holders and limited disabled parking is available on the Quay. There are also local restrictions in force and you should contact Transportation Services for further information.
